Baroness Warsi: I would die for my beliefs, says Muslim peer – Surprise as UAF/SWP havent blamed the EDL for this one.

Baroness Warsi has had threats since becoming Britain's first Muslim Cabinet minister

Baroness Warsi, Britain’s first Muslim Cabinet minister, has said she is prepared to “have a short but productive life” rather than resign from front-line politics in the face of serious threats from Islamic extremists.

The Conservative Party co-chairman said that being “brave” rather than having a “play-it-safe life” was a worthwhile price for being a pioneer at the highest levels of government.

It is believed that the peer has faced serious threats from Muslim extremists.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Baroness Warsi said her situation “worried” her family.

However, she said: “Why go into politics if you are not going to be brave?

“If you want to stand on the sidelines and not stand up for what you believe in, politics is the wrong game to be in.

“It worries my parents and it worries my husband and it worries my kids and they obviously don’t like it when I hold this approach.

“If that means you have a short but productive life, that is worth doing, than having a long but play-it-safe life. I believe that there are things that are far more important.

“If people when they were fighting against apartheid or fighting for the black civil rights movement … thought I could be dead tonight if I do this – I don’t think people think like that when people feel passionately enough about something and feel this is an issue of huge principle.”

Two years ago on a visit to Luton, Baroness Warsi was attacked by Muslim extremists who do not support a Muslim woman having such an important role in British political life.

“If Luton was anything to go by when I was egged, my natural reaction was to turn round and start on them rather than walk away,” she said. “My natural reaction is always – how dare you?”

Another religiously motivated murder – Religion of Peace ?

Islamabad (AsiaNews) – Muhammad Imran, a man charged with blasphemy in April 2009 and later released for lack of evidence, was gunned down in the Danada, a village near Rawalpindi. He had been accused of making insulting remarks about Prophet Mohammed during a discussion in a village cafe. However, he and another defendant were eventually set free by a court order after prosecution failed to produce evidence.

Imran was in a shop when two attackers came in and shot him dead. A third accomplice stayed outside. According to the victim’s brother Muhammad Akramm, Imran was killed by the same man from a nearby village who had originally accused him of blasphemy.

The murder comes two days after Minority Affairs Minister Shahbaz Bhatti was killed by militants for opposing the controversial blasphemy law. The Minority Affairs minister was laid to rest yesterday next to his father’s grave in the village of Khushpur in a ceremony attended by more than 15,000 people.

“We will continue Shahbaz Bhattit`s struggle for minority rights,” said Pervaiz Rafique, a leader of the All Pakistan Minority Assembly (APMA).

“Extremists can kill a person, not his thoughts. Shahbaz Bhatti wanted Pakistan to become Quaid-e-Azam`s Pakistan, we will carry on his mission,” he added. Quaid-e-Azam or Father of Nation refers to Ali Jinnah, founder of modern Pakistan.

Police have arrested 15 people in connection with Bhatti’s murder. Police also said that it would interrogate Mumtaz Qadri, the murderer of Punjab Governor Salman Taseer.

Every aspect of the case is under investigation. Eyewitness accounts and the testimony of Bhatti’s driver present different aspects, said IG Islamabad Police Wajid Durrani.

The Russian Orthodox Church has joined the chorus of condolences sent to Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani for Shahbaz Bhatti’s assassination.

“Many Christian Churches” were “encouraged by the appointment of Mr. Bhatti” to the “cabinet. As a politician, he managed to do a lot” to reduce “religious tension in Pakistani society and courageously spoke out against initiatives of religious extremists,” said Metropolitan Hilarion, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations.

This crime “is not the only act of violence against Christians in Pakistan. Neither simple believers, nor high-ranking officials are protected today from aggression on the part of people who disguise their evil deeds under religious convictions.”

Blackburn Paedophile to be deported – RESULT !

A CONVICTED paedophile who kidnapped and sexually exploited two underage girls will be deported following a successful legal battle.

Campaigners and his victims were outraged when Pakistani-national Zulfar Hussain won the right to stay in the country last April.

He had argued that he should not be deported because he had a wife and children in Blackburn.

Now, after 10 months of legal wrangling and further appeals, during which Hussain sacked his legal team, a special immigration court has ruled he must be sent back to Pakistan.

The 48-year-old was sentenced to five years and eight months in jail for child abduction, sexual activity with a child and supplying youngsters with ecstasy and had been due to be released in April.

But the UK Borders Agency immediately lodged its own appeal to keep Hussain held in an immigration removal centre while they fought he ruling.

A spokesman for UKBA said he would now been flown out of the country as soon as possible.

He said: “Our priority is to protect the public and we strongly believe foreign law breakers should be removed from the UK at the earliest possible opportunity.

“The UK Border Agency will automatically seek to deport any foreign national criminal who has been jailed for a serious offence.”

UKBA officials are now preparing the paperwork for his deportation and the ‘wheels are in motion’ to put him on the next available flight.

Hussain, formerly of Cowell Way, Blackburn, was jailed in August 2007 for grooming two girls aged 13 and 14, showering them with gifts, cash and heroin before taking them to a house and using them for sex.

His fellow convicted sexual predator Qaiser Naveed, 34, formerly of Colne Road, Burnley, did not appeal against his deportation order.

However Hussain, who spent his time in custody at HMP Wymott near Leyland, based his claim to stay in the country on his ‘right to a family life’ as he had lived in Blackburn with his family for 10 years.

A previous appeal hearing was told that his wife and children were all British Citizens and were standing by him and had been to see him in prison.

His representatives said that he had expressed remorse and had been well-behaved in prison an that he had no previous convictions in Pakistan or Britain.

But his victim, now 18, previously told the Lancashire Telegraph she was living in fear and ‘constantly looking over her shoulder’ knowing he could be released back into Lancashire at any moment.

And Blackburn MP and former justice minister Jack Straw said any decision which allowed him to stay in the country was ‘concerning’ and he backed the Home Office’s decision to appeal Hussian’s bid to stay in the country.

DS Mark Whelan, from the multi-agency Engage team which investigated the case as one of its first major inquiries, said it was a victory for common sense.

He said: “The impact on the victims in this case will be reduced following this successful appeal by the UK Borders Agency.

“The Engage team continues to support victims both before and after court cases. I’m sure both victims will be happy with this result.

“Knowing he’s back in Pakistan will mean they are able to feel safe and draw a line under this whole episode.”

UAF/SWP embarrasses itself at the EDL Rochdale demo

EDL Extra comments on the Metro news item, ‘EDL demonstration in Rochdale leads to 34 arrests’, by John O’Hare, 5.March.2011. (Comments are in bold.)

Almost 500 supporters of the far-right group travelled to the north-west town for the event, while around 100 people gathered for a counter-demonstration organised by Unite Against Fascism.
[A mere 100 UAF counter-demonstrators! And to think of how much student, lecturer, professor, BBCists, civil servant, public service workers’, etc. support they’re supposed to have. Was it because it was ‘just Up North’? Who cares about Up North, eh? Or was it because the Leftist Great and the Good couldn’t find a cheap Malaysian nanny for the day? Perhaps they were cleaning their two cars or holding meetings about the EDL!]

Greater Manchester Police had a high-profile presence on the ground and, with the help of leaders from the local Asian community, managed to keep the peace.
[With only 100 participants, UAF/SWP couldn’t really disturb the peace, could they? They would have loved too, but only militant Muslims are suicidal.]

A metal fence was erected between the EDL and UAF supporters who gathered close to the Cenotaph, and although there were some minor disturbances, there were few signs of the situation degenerating into violence.
[Of course! The UAF/SWP wants to utterly destroy the EDL. Or, as it puts it, ‘ban it’.]

Three people were detained for possession of an offensive weapon, but most of the arrests were for minor public order offences, for failing to remove face masks and for being drunk and disorderly. [Arrested for ‘failing to move face masks’? Presumably EDL. Does this mean that female Islamists will be arrested for failing to remove their face masks – the burka? I hope so. The difference is that EDL only wear face masks at demos and to protect themselves from identification from Leftist and Muslim thugs (or from employers who would sack them for being EDL). In addition, to make a point about the burka itself.

Female Islamists, on the other hand, wear the burka not as a sign of modesty, etc., but as a political statement of separation from kuffar society. It’s a two-fingered salute to the West. That means that all burka-wearing women are Islamists – and that’s why most of them are young.]

After the EDL supporters had been escorted from the town centre and put on coaches, Chief Superintendent John O’Hare declared his satisfaction with how the afternoon’s events had unfolded.

‘A fantastic operation has taken place today and community reassurance is taking place now and into the night,’ he said.
[‘Community reassurance’? I’m not sure what that means. Did he say: Well, the EDL didn’t come here to kill you, despite what the UAF/SWP tried to say to you. No. He wouldn’t have said that.]

EDL supporters had carried banners with slogans such as ‘Patriotism is not a crime’ and ‘Protect all children from Islamists’.

The Manchester Evening News reported that they had been addressed by a speaker who talked about allegations of sexual exploitation of children in Rochdale.
[‘Allegations of sexual exploitation’? No way! Is the word ‘allegation’ being used legally or politically here? There have been countless convictions of Muslim gangs in the North West for sexual exploitation. And in Rochdale itself there have been convictions. So it is a disgrace to say that this terrible and widespread example of Islamic ‘booty’ exploitation is mere ‘allegation’. It is not. It is just one more symptom of how Muslim men treat the kuffar – in this case kuffar girls.]

Anti-EDL demonstrators, who included representatives of local mosques and trade unions, carried placards reading ‘Smash the English Defence League’ and ‘EDL + BNP = Nazi-racist thugs’.
[Nazi thugs! Nazi thugs! Nazi thugs! Nazi thugs!… Change the freaking tune! Why not try debate or argument for once? Oh, I forgot. NO Platform for the EDL… and the BNP, and Zionists, and neocons, and neoliberals, and right-wingers of all descriptions, and even the right-wing of the Conservative Party in the 1980s… bugger that. There was a No Platform policy for all the Conservative Party in the 1980s and that could very easily return. Most of these No Platformers are Communists and Trotskyists after all.]
