100,000 Eastern European migrants now free to claim full benefits in Britain worth tens of millions of pounds after EU ruling

Hundreds of thousands of migrants will gain full access to Britain’s generous benefits system within weeks.

When eight former Eastern Bloc countries joined the EU in 2004, rules were put in place to restrict access to welfare.

But these rules lapse on May 1 and cannot be renewed, raising fears of mass benefits tourism.

After just three months’ ‘residency’ in the country, eastern European migrants will be able to claim hundreds of pounds a week in jobseeker’s allowance, council tax and housing benefits.
Previously they had to work for a full year before being able to claim welfare.

Critics said Labour made a ‘huge mistake’ when agreeing that the rules would last for just seven years and called safeguards ‘paper thin’.

Since the EU expanded in 2004, Britain has experienced its largest ever wave of migration – despite official predictions that just 13,000 workers would want to move here.

Those searching for jobs have been required to pay £90 and sign up with the Worker Registration Scheme, run by the Home Office and Department for Work and Pensions. They were then denied access to benefits until they had completed a full year of work.

More than a million have joined the scheme and figures suggest there are some 625,000 still in work in the UK.

But from May migrants from Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic will simply have to pass a ‘habitual residency test’ – showing they have been looking for work for three months.

The only other requirement is that they show benefits officials where they live, prove they want to settle here and show any employment history.

At that point they can get access to a council tax rebate, housing benefit worth hundreds of pounds a week and jobseeker’s allowance of £65 a week.

The change in rules will also lead to a rise in the number of eastern Europeans living in Britain who receive child benefit for children still living in their home country.

Figures last year showed there are already more than 32,000 children living in eastern Europe whose parents receive child benefit in Britain.

Under EU rules, child benefit is paid to all parents in the UK, even if their children have stayed in their home countries.

During the recession the numbers coming in from the so-called A8 countries dropped off.

However, figures released last month showed the number of eastern Europeans coming to work in Britain had risen for the first time in four years. Arrivals who registered with the WRS hit 116,760 – an increase of 7 per cent on a year earlier, when the total was 108,920.

Sir Andrew Green, chairman of MigrationWatch, said: ‘The previous government made a huge mistake in allowing people from much poorer states to claim benefits in Britain once the seven-year transition period ends. Such safeguards as exist are not even paper thin.’

A DWP spokesman denied migrants could ‘just come to the UK and start claiming benefits’. He said: ‘We have strict rules in place to protect the system from any abuse.

‘We will be keeping our benefit rules for people from abroad under review to ensure it’s secure.’
‘We have to remain in line with our national and international obligations.

‘However, it is necessary to protect the taxpayer and the benefit system from possible abuse. This is our number one priority.’

‘We have rules in place to prevent abuse of the benefit system and prevent benefit tourism.’

Muslim College Staff Arrested for Immigration Scam

LED away in cuffs, this woman is accused of helping run a bogus college so illegal immigrants could settle on Tyneside.

Task force detectives today smashed the suspected sham college allegedly being used to illegally bring foreign nationals into the region.

Officers from the UK Border Agency’s Immigration Crime Team arrested four senior staff from Castle College in Park Road, Felling, Gateshead, following a series of dawn raids across Tyneside.

Investigators believe the directors were using the college as a front to allow foreign nationals to dodge immigration laws.

The directors are also alleged to have used college funds to bring friends and family into the North East as “overseas students”, but they did not attend lectures.

The Border Agency has now suspended the college’s licence to enrol overseas pupils and more than 80 students will also be investigated.

Detectives are today working to establish whether any students or staff have links with criminal gangs.

Det Insp Paul Foggin, who headed up the investigation, said those arrested are being quizzed on suspicion of using the college to facilitate immigration offences.

A number of students have also been arrested after they were found to have breached the terms of their visas. They are expected to be removed from the country.

Det Insp Foggin said: “The raids that took place this morning are the result of a long and complex investigation.

“Those arrested are now in police custody and will be questioned today.”

The staff arrested were a 33-year-old Bangladeshi man, two men from Pakistan, aged 37 and 41, and a Pakistani woman aged 37.

Anti Immigration Sentiment Soars in Britain

In last year’s general election in Britain, both the Conservatives and Labour addressed the issue of immigration and the popular feeling that uncontrolled immigration had caused problems for Britain. However, due to Britain’s electoral system, no party with an explicit anti-immigration agenda such as the British National Party or the United Kingdom Independence Party managed to make it into Parliament.

This contrasts with results in Holland and Sweden where the Freedom Party and the Swedish Democrats made major breakthroughs. In France, the National Front polls at 20%.

Now, a poll conducted in Britain for the left-wing Searchlight Educational Trust finds that 48% of voters would consider voting for a party that would tackle immigration and Islamic extremism provided it steered clear of violence and “fascist imagery”. 52% said that Muslims cause problems in the United Kingdom.

The poll found that two thirds of white Britons felt that immigration had made a negative contribution. They were joined by 43% of Asian Britons and 17% of black Britons. According to the poll, a strong correlation existed between economic insecurity and hostility to immigration. The results were slightly skewed by older pro-conservative voters whom the pollsters called cultural integrationists. Another interesting result is that more nonwhites than whites favor freezing immigration on till the economic situation improves.

While the full report will only be published on the web Monday night, it has already been embraced by the British left to attack the government of David Cameron and former Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair, whom the left considers a traitor.

David Cameron is attacked for his recent speech denouncing multiculturalism and calling for a muscular liberalism that would spell out more clearly what values are acceptable and what are inacceptable. Critics from the left condemn the Cameron speech for legitimizing the sentiments expressed in the poll. The Left and its journalistic mouthpieces, such as the Guardian and the Daily Mirror, also claim that the government’s current austerity policy is causing layoffs and lowering the standard of living. This is increasing economic insecurity and therefore fueling the dangerous attitudes surfacing in the poll.

Tony Blair is attacked for his “New Labour” approach that essentially jettisons politics based on class and therefore made working class Britons feel that they had been abandoned. If politics are not based on class, then the substitute is the identity-based politics expressed by the respondents to the poll.

While the survey was conducted by the well-regarded Populus polling organization, some critics are uneasy about questions that are too vague to permit conclusions. Another obvious criticism is that the poll is self-serving. Searchlight advertises itself as an organization that combats fascism by educational work. Obviously the more alarming the attitude towards immigrants is, the greater the need to fund the organization.

20 refugees rape an 11-year old girl in a public bath, Stockholm Sweden

SWEDEN

Some details,
1. The 20 refugees were instructed, before they left for the bath house, that sexual attacks and rapes are not allowed.
2. Some public baths have signs that say, “rapes will be reported to the police”.
3. The police said, “this is a place where temptations are great”. (Really, is it “tempting” to rape 11-year olds?)
4. The cost for the taxpayers to house each refugee is US$150 000.00 per year.

They were mainly Arab and African so called “child refugees”. However they are in most cases adults lying about there age to obtain better benefits. In some cases they are in the high 20’s and 30’s while claiming they are teens. Almost 100 % of them show false id’s or no id’s at all, therefore they are never truly identified.

The government claim “we need more refugees” and similar mantra. The politicians have for many years forced mass immigration of biblical proportions. The voters has never given permission for the destructive immigration policy bringing in 100 000 new mostly illiterates from Africa, Asia and the Arab world. Most of them are muslim.

The votes never approved mass immigration. A large majority object to it but they are forced to pay for all of it. The cost is staggering, the cost is estimated to one third of the nations overall budget.

On a regular basis the services for the Swedes are cut back. A few days ago you could read about how old people living in government retirement homes got coffee and eggs for breakfast cut back to save money. The government even lie to motivate the cutbacks. They claim that eggs are unhealthy, a complete lie.

The Swedish government TV has started a new indoctrination series to teach the Swedes how to become good muslims. Its called, “Islam for Beginners”.

Record rise in immigration as 240,000 given right to stay in just one year

A warm welcome: Non-EU migration to the UK is almost at record levels

Labour’s ‘shambolic’ stewardship of the immigration system was exposed last night by figures showing that almost a quarter of a million migrants were handed the right to stay in Britain last year.

Grants of settlement, which are one step short of a passport, rose 35 per cent to 238,950 in the year to September 2010 – the highest since records began in 1960.

The total includes tens of thousands given full access to Britain’s public services because of the catastrophic failure to deal with their asylum cases swiftly.

Official figures also showed migration added 226,000 to the country’s population in 2010. This net migration figure – the number of arrivals minus those departing – is more than double the level that would be needed if ministers are to fulfil their pledge to reduce the annual net total to ‘tens of thousands’ by 2015.

Among the arrivals were spiralling numbers of students. Study visas issued in Labour’s last year were up by 41 per cent. The Office for National Statistics stated: ‘Long-term immigration to the UK for formal study has trebled over the last decade.’

The backlog of more than 400,000 asylum cases was uncovered more than five years ago and only now are many finally being resolved. Sir Andrew Green, chairman of the MigrationWatch think-tank, said the settlement figures were ‘appalling’.

‘This is what Labour called “managed migration”. It would be hard to imagine a more shambolic inheritance,’ he said.

‘Around one in three of those granted settlement were failed asylum seekers who had been hanging around so long that they acquired a human rights case to stay.’

The ONS confirmed that the foreign-born population rose by 3.2million during Labour’s 13 years in power, as reported in the Mail this week.

Sir Andrew said: ‘These figures are Labour’s legacy to Britain – 3.2million immigrants, including a quarter of a million in their last year alone.

‘Over half a million students in one year with no interviews before arrival and no checks on departure, and a “points-based system” that has increased immigration, not reduced it.’

Immigration Minister Damian Green said that the figures reinforced the need for radical reforms of the immigration system.

“No borders! No nations! Stop deportations!”

72 ancillary workers at two hospitals have ‘disappeared’ in the last month. Protesters at St Thomas’ highlight plight of hospital workers arrested last month.

A coalition of campaign groups staged a demonstration outside St Thomas’ Hospital on Friday evening in solidarity with workers arrested last month for identity offences.

16 people were arrested by the police and the UK Borders Agency on Thursday 6 January in connection with fraud and identity offences at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

Three of the arrested workers – a cleaner, a porter and a catering assistant – pleaded guilty to obtaining a pecuniary advantage by deception and being in possession of false identity documents. They were each sentenced to eight months’ imprisonment the day after the arrests were made.

The Cleaners Defence Committee, No One Is Illegal, Hands off my Workmate and Latin American Workers’ Association staged a protest outside St Thomas’ Hospital during Friday evening’s rush hour.

The campaigners claim that as many as 72 ancillary workers at the two hospitals have ‘disappeared’ in the last month.

The demonstration included chants of “No borders! No nations! Stop deportations!”

“Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust approached Southwark Police and the UK Border Agency for their assistance after trust staff identified a number of potential illegal workers,” said a hospital spokesman.

“We have worked closely with them in following these matters up.

“We were disappointed that this problem arose, as we pride ourselves on carrying out thorough immigration and employment checks on all our staff. The majority of those involved were employed through an agency.

“Clearly the trust has no alternative but to uphold the law in these cases.”
